My name is Wim and my hobby is nature photography.

As a nature photographer I am amazed by the many types of lights, the colours at sunrise, the singing of birds and the buzzing of insects.These circumstances inspire me to capture the beauty of nature in images and thereby to break a lance for the preservation and restoration of mother earth.

I grew up along the coast and that is where I developed my love for the sea, the coast and the elements of nature.

My style is characterized by the use of combinations of soft pastel colors, sometimes combined with movement and other photo techniques. My latest project from August 2024 is a photo story about “Seeing the forest through the trees”.

Visual artists who inspire me are Erik Malm, Gosse Bouma, Theo Bosboom, Johan van der Wielen and Stephan Vanfleteren.

 I am an admirer of impressionistic and abstract art forms and also draw some of my inspiration from this.

I live in the province Gelderland in the center of the Netherlands.
